Who have you lost to Breast Cancer

I have lost my grandmother to breast cancer, Many people lose their lives to breast cancer every year. This does not have to happen. We can help researcheres find a cure for it If you raise money, you have helped. If you have lost someone to breast cancer, you can help. Hurt can  help clear your mind and you can realize the danger of breast cancer.

DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer awareness month is October.

People symbolize breast cancer by wearing pink!

There is always a CIBC Run for the cure in October to help raise money and awarness for across Canada.

There is also the Susan G Komen walk which is a 60 mile walk to awareness  and raise money for breast cancer reseach. This walk is spread out over a period of 3 days and it is mainly in Europe.

The ride to empower is a destination bike ride, which location changes every year.

Treatment for breast cancer

Some treatments for breast cancer are:

Surgery: where parts or all of the tumor is removed, there are 2 types breast consereving surgery or mastectnomy

Radiation therapy: aiming a bead of radiation at the tumor, external radiation is always given after breast conserving surgery,

Chemotherapy: chemo drugs interfere with the ability for the cancer cells to spread and grow, but they also damage healthy cells

Hormone therapy: a treatment to remove hormones from your body or blocks the actions and stops cells from growing

Biological therapy: the use of drugs to interfer e how breast cancer cells grow and uses the body's immune systems to destroy it

Keep in mind, these cures do not always work......

These symptoms are may not be caused by cancer. A diagnostic test is need to confirm. If you have any of these symptoms I recommend you go and see a doctor immediately!

What does Breast Cancer mean?

Breast Cancer means.....  watching your loved one wheeled into the hospital
Breast Cancer means..... looking at the patient weak and frail
Breast Cancer means..... nursing, praying and hoping for them
Breast Cancer means..... spending every second with them
Breast Cancer means..... crying when they are gone
Breast Cancer means..... never wanting to say good bye

But it can also mean.....
New memories made
Watching them grow stronger
Rejoicing if they are cured
